Crane overturns is Zebbiegh, operator hospitalised

A 48-year-old crane operator was grievously injured when the crane he was operating overturned early on Friday morning.

Police were called to a construction site in Zebbiegh, in Mgarr, at around 8.30am where they assisted to free the operator from the crane's cabin. The man fell around seven courses.

An ambulance was called to transport the operator, a resident of Dingli, to Mater Dei Hospital where he was examined and found to have suffered grievous injuries.

Police investigations continue.
