Cyclist dies during Gozo bike ride

A man has died after being taken ill whilst cycling in Gozo.

The 45 year old man from Dingli lost his life in Triq iq iż-Żewwieqa, in Qala, Gozo at around 9 am this morning. Police say the man had been cycling with a group of friends when he suddenly collapsed. The man was rushed to the Gozo General Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

Magistrate Paul Coppini is conducting an inquiry into the incident.
