Motorcyclist grievously injured in collision with car in Mosta

A motorcyclist has suffered grievous injuries after being involved in a traffic accident in Mosta.

The accident took place at 7:15am on Vjal l-Indipendenza, between the 40-year-old victim, a Gharghur man who was driving a Piaggio Vespa motorcycle, and a 60-year-old man, from Mgarr, driving a Ford Escort.

The motorcyclist was hospitalised in order to receive treatment.
