Elderly motorcyclist grievously injured in Birkirkara traffic accident

A 78-year-old motorcyclist suffered grievous injuries after being involved in a collision with a car in Birkirkara yesterday.

The accident took place at about 7:00pm on Naxxar Road, when a collision took place between the elderly man who was driving a Yamaha motorcycle, and a 27-year-old Attard woman, who was driving a Peugeot car.

As a result of the initial impact, the motorcycle collided with a parked car.

The motorcyclist, a Birkirkara resident, was conveyed to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance to receive treatment for his injuries.
