Worker suffers grievous injuries in Delimara power station accident

A worker was grievously injured this morning after becoming pinned between boxes that fell from a fork lifter at the Delimara power station.

At about 11:00am, the 57-year-old man, of Fgura, was assisting in the unloading of boxes from a container when the boxes fell off the fork lifter that was carrying them, pinning the worker.

An ambulance was called on the scene to convey the man to Mater Dei Hospital.
