Worker suffers grievous facial injuries in construction site accident

A man suffered grievous injuries to the face this morning while he was working at a Birzebbugia construction site

Civilians took the victim to the Paola health centre but he was later conveyed to Mater Dei Hospital

A 56-year-old Zejtun man this morning suffered grievous injuries to the face while he was working at a construction site in Triq Hal Far, Birzebbugia.

According to police, the accident occurred at 10:30am when the man was operating a high-up.

Civilians took the victim to the Paola health centre but he was later conveyed to Mater Dei Hospital.

A magisterial inquiry has been appointed.

Police are investigating the case.
