Man, 25, succumbs to injuries sustained in Spinola Bay fall

A fun night out with friends on Friday evening has ended in tragedy as a 25-year-old man has succumbed to injuries sustained in a fall at Spinola Bay.

The Dutchman, identified as Vince Roy Welten, passed away at Mater Dei Hospital, one week after being critically injured in the fall.

The incident happened at Triq San Gorg at around 6am on Friday, 16 June, when the young man – standing against the railing – reportedly lost his balance and fell.
