Barman arrested for burning customers while setting drinks on fire

A Paceville barman has been arrested after his stunt involving setting alcoholic drinks on fire went disastrously wrong, and ended up burning his customers.

Police said that the barman, identified as a Macedonian who lives in Swieqi, had been serving drinks to clients at a bar in St Rita’s Street, Paceville.

As he was setting the drinks alight, the flames somehow spread to their faces. One of his clients, an underage 16-year-old Italian boy suffered serious injuries. The medical condition of the other two victims – a 16-year-old Italian girl and a 17-year-old Spanish girl is not yet known.
