Worker suffers severe burns in Hal Far factory accident

A 34-year-old worker was hospitalised yesterday afternoon after he was injured at a factory in Hal Far.

The man suffered burns after a steam valve burst during maintenance works on a particular area inside the factory. The accident occurred at about 5:00pm.

The victim, a Lija resident, was conveyed to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment, where he was certified as suffering from grievous injuries.

Police investigations are still ongoing.
