Motorcyclist grievously injured in Naxxar crash

A 32-year-old man residing in Naxxar has been certified to be suffering grievous injuries following a traffic accident earlier today.

According to the police, the incident happened at roughly 10:00am this morning when the man in question was driving his motorcycle, accompanied by a female passenger. From police investigations it transpired that for some reason, the motobike collided with a Nissan Qashqai being driven by a 28-year-old Naxxar resident.

An ambulance was called to the scene, which took both the driver of the motorcycle and his 26-year-old passenger to Mater Dei Hospital for treatment. The male driver was certified as having suffered grievous injuries, while his female companion was found to have sustained light injuries.

Police investigations are still underway.
