Latching onto a retweet by the government’s chief spokesman that several suspects could be charged with Daphne Caruana Galizia’s murder, her son has lamented the lack of information given to the family.

Matthew Caruana Galizia said “you know something is deeply wrong” when the family of a journalist murdered by contract killers gets to know of arraignments through “a retweet from a low-level governing party official”.

The family has lamented in the past of being kept in dark by the police as to the progress of the investigation.

So far the police have arrested 10 people in connection with Caruana Galizia’s murder but no indication has been given yet as to when they will be charged in court.

The police can hold the men for 48 hours, after which they have to charge them or release them from custody.
