Member of pickpocketing gang arrested on his arrival to Malta

A 47-year-old Romanian suspected in a number of pickpocketing incidents has been arrested.

Informed sources told MaltaToday that the man is thought to be part of a pickpocketing gang from Romania, and was known to frequently travel to and from Malta.

After weeks of investigations by the Valletta district police, the man was identified and arrested upon his arrival at Malta airport.

He is expected to be arraigned in court tomorrow.
