Man grievously injured in car accident

A man has been grievously injured during a traffic incident in Marsa late Monday night.

The incident occurred at 12:30am in Triq il-Haddiem.

The police said an investigation found that an impact occurred between a Kymco Venox that was being driven by a 56-year-old man residing from Tarxien and another vehicle that fled the scene.

The victim was taken to Mater Dei Hospital for further treatment.

An investigation is currently ongoing.
