Construction worker seriously injured after fall

A construction worker has sustained severe injuries, after falling from a height on Wednesday evening in Zejtun.

The incident occurred at 7pm in Triq Kanonku Giovanni Dedemenico. 

The police said the 18-year-old Syrian had been working at a construction site at the time of the fall.

An ambulance took the victim to Mater Dei Hospital for further treatment, where it was later certified he was suffering from severe injuries.

A police investigation is currently ongoing.
