50-year-old woman injured in M’Scala accident

Police said that it was notified of the accident, which took place in Triq id-Dahla ta’ San Tumas, Marsaskala, at around 8:50am.

The woman, a resident of Marsascala, was driving a Toyota Tercel, which was involved in the accident with a Suzuki Alto driven by a 72-year-old man who is a resident of Rabat, Gozo.

Police added that an ambulance was called to the scene, which rushed the woman to Mater Dei for medical attention. There she was determined to be suffering from grievous injuries but not in danger of dying.

Police also confirmed that the 72-year-old man was not injured in the accident, and added that investigations are ongoing.
