Arriva said that due to urgent construction works in Ix-Xatt ta'Bormla, preventing the passage of buses, and the Tuesday market held in Triq Tal-Fidda and Triq Il-Gublew, Route 2, Route 3, Route 124 and Route 213 will be severely disrupted.
"Arriva Malta apologises for the disruption and our staff will do their best to accommodate you," the company said in a statement.
"The late notification of the closure is regrettable and we will work with our partners Transport Malta to ensure more notice is given of such major diversions."
The affected routes are:
Route 2 will not be able to reach Café Riche and will operate via Triq San Gwann Ghuxa and Triq Allessandra, turning around at Dejqa to return to Valletta.
Route 3 will divert via Fgura, Vjal Kottonera, Triq Kunsill ta' L-Europa and Trriq San Dwardu to reach Café Riche where it will turn and follow its normal route to Kalkara and Xghajra. This will apply to the return journeys to Valletta.
Route 124 will not serve Verdala and Bormla but will operate directly to Café Riche via Triq San Dwardu and from there return to Marsaskala as normal.
Route 213 will not serve Isla and Bormla but divert via Fgura and Hompesch to reach Triq San Dwardu and Café Riche, from there it will serve Kalkara, Santa Rokku and then back by the same route to Paola and Mater Dei.
Route 1 from Isla is unaffected.
