Three injured in car wreck

The drivers of two vehicles were late last night rushed to hospital suffering injuries after a head on collision on the Coast Road.

At about 9.30 pm, rescue workers were called to the wreckage of a car crash to free one of the injured. The police had been informed of a serious car accident between a Peugeot driven by a 48-year-old man from Swieqi and a Renault Megane driven by a man, 46 from Mosta.

An 18-year old female riding in the Megane was also injured and taken to hospital.

Medical checks revealed the two drivers and the passenger had suffered grievous injuries.
