The Floriana local council called on the Nationalist Party to clear up after their Independence Day celebrations.

“There are still large blocks of concrete next to Pjazza San Publiju, a strip is sitll hanging between the trees near Triq Sarria and the damage on the bollard in Pjazza San Publiju has not yet been fixed,” a local council statement said, adding that they first brought these issues to the PN's attention over two weeks ago.

“Political parties are morally obliged to give an example of respect to Malta’s heritage, even more so when their events aren't subjected to the same conditions as those of other organisers," the local council said.
