Hunters' hides in Gozo, Mizieb vandalized

FKNK condemns the acts, which saw structures in Sannat, Gozo, and Mizieb damaged

The hunting federation condemned vandalism that saw a number of hunters' hides damaged in Sannat, Gozo, and Mizieb, Mellieha.

The FKNK received reports that hides in Sannat had been damaged on Tuesday, while several hides in Mizieb had suffered the same fate on the opening of autumn hunting season, on 1 September. Indigenous trees were also damaged.

"This vandalism has no place in today's world," the FKNK said in a statement. "We are requesting the assistance of the police corps in monitoring the countryside for such behaviour."

The federation instructed its members not to engage with the perpetrators should they come across them, but should inform the police as well as taking photos and/or videos of the culprits and any damage they cause.
