Third family member in a father-son trio in the police force to be boarded out on medical grounds after the three have been connected to unethical businessmen. Police Inspector Roderick Zammit applied to be boarded out, having been on long sick leave since last summer when an inquiry showed unethical and irregular connections between his family and shady businessmen such as the Gaffarena family and Hugo Chetchuti. His brother, Daniel Zamit has already been boarded out on psychiatric grounds, while his father, Ray Zammit, was relieved of his duties as police chief by the PM after another inquiry found him guilty of negligence in a shooting incident.
