Maltese schools enjoy the third most summer vacation across Europe
Primary school children in Malta enjoy 11 and a half weeks of summer holidays, the third highest across Europe, European Commission report says

A new report by the European Commission identified Malta as the country with the third most summer holiday from school across Europe, starting from 30 June and ending on 18 September 2015.
The report, entitled “Organisaiton of school time in Europe” which focuses on the scholastic year of 2014/15, found Italian schools as having the most summer holidays with 13 weeks.
While Italy is at the top of the list, countries such as Greece and Portugal follow hot on its tail with 12 weeks of summer vacation.
Countries at the other end of the list include the United Kingdom, Denmark and Germany, whose school children only receive six weeks of vacation, followed by the Netherlands and Norway with eight weeks, and France Belgium and Ireland with nine.
