AFM evacuates elderly woman in need of medical attention from cruise ship

An elderly woman who required immediate medical attention onboard a cruise ship was transported to Malta by the Armed Forces of Malta's rescue sea vessel yesterday.

According to an AFM statement, the Melita II SAR Launch was dispatched late last night to evacuate the elderly woman, bringing her and her husband to the Hay Wharf base, before being transferred to Mater Dei Hospital.

No details about the woman's condition were divulged.
