Three cars catch fire in Valletta, Msida and Hamrun in one night

The police are investigating three separate cases of cars which caught fire in the early hours of Thursday

Police investigations are underway to establish the cause of three separate cases of cars that caught fire in the early hours of Thursday.

The first incident occurred at 2am in Triq Marsamxett, Valletta where a parked car caught fire. This caused another car parked in front of it to catch fire as well.

A second incident occurred at around 3.40am in Triq Ċensu Farrugia, Msida where a truck caught fire. Thick smoke from the flames damaged the facade of a house.

The third incident occurred less than an hour later, at around 4.20am Triq Mountbatten, Hamrun when another parked car caught fire.

In all cases, the flames were put out by members of the Civil Protection Department. No one was injured in the incidents.
