70-year-old man run over by car in Qormi

A man has suffered from grievous injuries after being run over by a car on Sunday in Qormi.

The incident occurred at 2:30pm in Triq tal-Hlas in Qormi.

The 70-year-old victim from Zebbug was walking when he was run over by a Toyota Hilux driven by a 33-year-old man from Qormi. 

The victim was taken to Mater Dei Hospital for further treatment, where it was later certified he was suffering from grievous injuries.

A police investigation is currently ongoing.
