Suicide bombing in Nigerian market claims 32 lives
The blast, heard across the city, struck a busy vegetable market in the city of Yola where traders were closing up on Tuesday.

A blast in the northeastern Nigerian city of Yola on Tuesday night tore through a marketplace, killing 32 people and wounding 80 others, according to the local authorities and witnesses.
The blast occurred at 8 pm at a market filled with shoppers stocking up on fruits and vegetables for dinner, turning the area into a horrific scene of blood, bodies and mayhem.
Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari visited Yola on Saturday, declaring that the Islamist militant movement Boko Haram was close to defeat.
Yola has twice been hit by deadly bomb attacks this year. The city lies in the north-eastern state of Adamawa, one of the worst hit by the Boko Haram insurgency.
More than 80 people have been taken to hospital, some with serious injuries, emergency workers say.
