Maltese professional player Alex Borg made it to the second round of the Coral Northern Ireland Open after beating Dechawat Poomjaeng of Thailand 4-2.

Alex Borg makes it through to the second round of the Coral Northern Ireland Open

The following points were obtained (Borg first): 57-16, 45-62, 20-82 (82), 88-6, 75-35 (66), 85-12 (54).

This open is the second one out of four opens that form part of the Home Nations Series.

Borg’s adventure will continue in the second round when he will face Kurt Maflin.

The tournament is being played in Belfast.
