Silver and Bronze medals for Malta at IFBB Mediterranean Championships

Team Malta had another successful run of results at the 2016 IFBB Mediterranean Championships this weekend in Portugal.

The 2016 IFBB Mediterranean Championships took place in Lisbon, Portugal on the 18-19 November, 2016.

A team of four athletes represented Malta at the popular competition.

Malta Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness President Ralph Decelis competed in the 90kg bodybuilding category while Roderick Theuma competed in the 85kg bodybuilding category.

Blanche Coppola, fresh from her silver medal at the World Fitness Championships with Ralph Decelis in the Mixed Pairs category compteted in the womens physique category while Hannah Grech took part in the bikini class.

Ralph Decelis placed second to take the silver medal in the 90kg class. A very impressive result in a class that had some of the best bodybuilders in Europe competing for the top spot.

Roderick Theuma managed to step on the podium as well winning the bronze medal. A great result for one of Malta's most active athletes, representing Malta on numerous occasions.

Blanche Coppola finished in fourth place in the women's physique class. Another great result for Malta's best physique competitor.

Hannah Grech as well put on a fantastic display in the bikini class. The bikini category is another discipline that brings some of the best female athletes to the stage at the Mediterranean championships. Hannah unfortunately did not make it to the top three, but her performance made all of Malta proud.
