Earlier on today, Malta won three other silver medals. Two of these medals were won in the shooting discipline. Eleanor Bezzina placed second in the women’s 10m Air Pistol, while Francis Pace also won silver during the Men’s Trap. In addition, the women’s team of table tennis were awarded silver after going through till the last game in which they were eventually beaten by Luxembourg who won the gold medal.

The Maltese athletes will also bring home two other bronze medals. David Farrugia placed third in the Men’s raffle singles. Furthermore, Rodney Zammit also secured bronze in Judo.

Such results will encourage the Maltese athletes to do their best in their attempts to overcome the thirty-one medals tally that were won two years ago in Iceland.
