Small Nations Games: Gianluca Chetcuti wins gold during the Men’s double trap

Gianluca Chetcuti won Malta’s third gold medal during the Small Nations Games after winning the Men’s double trap.

Chetcuti secured the gold medal after scoring a total of 69 points. He was followed by Leontios Leontiou of Cyprus who scored a total of 68 points. Djovanis Savvides of Cyprus as well won bronze after registering 48 points.

Youngster Chetcuti wasn’t the only athlete who won a medal during the day. The men’s swimming team composed of Andrew Chetcuti, Matthew Galea, Mikhail Umnov and Matthew Zammit won a bronze medal.

Another bronze medal was won in tennis as Matthew Asciak and Omar Sudzuka placed third in the Tennis Men’s double.

The only silver medal of the day was also won in tennis. Francesco Curmi and Elaine Genovese finished second during the Tennis Women’s Double.
