Very successful season for the Malta Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness

The Malta Federation of Bodybuilding and Fitness was very active in recent months where it was represented in 10 IFBB  international competitions.

Blanche Coppola and Ralph Decelis become world champions in the mixed pairs category for the second time. After their victory in Canada in 2014 this time  they won the gold medal in Biarritz, France.

On an individual basis Blanche Coppola won the bronze medal at the masters world championships in Romania, gold at the Diamond Cup Rome, silver at the Diamond Cup Athens and silver also at the Diamond Cup Milan . She also placed in the 5th place in the Seniors World Championships.

On his part Decelis placed 4th place in the seniors world championships held in Spain, won silver at the Diamond Cup Athens, silver at the Diamond Cup Milan and placed  in fourth place at the Diamond Cup  Rome

Hannah Tabone Grech placed 4th in International Swiss Cup and 5th at Diamond Cup in Rome.

Gozitan Miriam Saliba in her first international experience placed 7th among 35 ladies at the Arnold Classic Europe and 6th in Prague a week after.

In the Juniors category at the Arnold Classic Europe in Barcelona Arnold Andrew Azzopardi earned the 5th place.

Veterans  Antoine Zerafa, Eric Schembri and Giuseppe Cali also got very good results in their respective Masters categories.

Coppola, Decelis and Zerafa are also among the finalists for the Sports Awards organized by the Malta Olympic Committee.
