A collection of digital paintings by Macedonian artist Sara Stanoeska will be on display from 4 May at KUNĊETT, 51 Strait St, Valletta.
This exhibition will run until May 31st, and the entrance is free. All exhibited canvas prints will be available for sale, and paper prints will also become available from May 15th onwards.
Marking the artist’s first international exhibition, the collection explores themes of psychological introspection and the complexities of the human condition. Through rich, vivid symbolism, Stanoeska’s work is a reflection of her own experiences, as well as a mirror to the human condition, making it both visually striking and emotionally impactful.
The exhibition features works from her collections Genesis and Defragmentations of the Self, alongside a selection of standalone pieces that expand on similar motifs.
Based in Skopje, Stanoeska is a self-taught artist working across both digital and traditional media. With a professional background in graphic design and illustration, her portfolio includes work on book and board game illustrations, concept art, and a range of marketing and promotional materials.
She is currently developing her own illustrated tarot deck, which is slated for publication next year.
Drawing inspiration from folklore, fantasy, and symbolic storytelling, Stanoeska weaves these elements consistently throughout her work, shaping a distinctive and recognizable visual language.
The exhibition at KUNĊETT offers visitors an opportunity to step into the artist’s world and engage with her unique perspective on identity, transformation, and the human experience.
