Problems in GO TV reception

GO informs its TV customers that during the night between Tuesday 3rd and Wednesday 4th July it will be performing a technical work-around as part of its ongoing drive to minimize the negative effects of high levels of radio frequency (RF) interference received from Italy.

This interference, caused by the TV switch-over process currently in progress in the south of Sicily, has negatively impacted a number of TV channels in certain areas, in some cases leading to loss of some TV channels.

GO wishes to advise those TV customers using a Set Top Box (STB), who are still experiencing problems on July 4th, to scroll through the channels to trigger another automatic retune of the STB. Customers using a CAM will need to follow their TV set instructions to perform a further retune on their TV sets in order to refresh the channel list. This operation will help to normalize many - but not necessarily all - of the affected channels

GO is still working closely with the Malta Communications Authority and international authorities to find a permanent solution for those TV channels that are still experiencing interference.

i would have though that go would put forward a more simplistic explanation and in maltese apart from english. moreover there is nowhere that a client can contact customer care for a temporary solution to this problem.
