Air Malta increases flight frequency to Tripoli

Air Malta announces increased weekly frequency for flights to Tripoli as from 3 January 2012.

Maltese airline Air Malta said it would be operating four weekly flights to and from the Libyan capital every Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday as from 3 January 2012.

““This decision was taken following the increase in demand registered since we resumed scheduled air services to Libya on the 28th November. The service has become very popular and passenger figures are growing steadily. With the additional frequency we are planning to carry approximately 1,000 passengers every month to and from Tripoli,” Chief Commercial Officer of Air Malta Philip Saunders said.

Saunders also said that the increase in flight frequency to Tripoli was an important step in efforts to assist and facilitate travel between Malta and Libya for the benefit of customers travelling on business, leisure, or visiting friends and relatives.
