Air Malta signs agreement for the sale of Flyaway Tours

Air Malta has successfully concluded negotiations with its appointed preferred bidder for the sale of Flyaway Tours and has now signed an agreement with the Sliema based travel and tourism agency, United Travel.

Air Malta will now be contacting all Flyaway Tours customers on its database to inform them of this sale.

In a statement, the national airline said that over the years Flyaway Tours became an established brand and a household name among the local travel trade and public alike.

The business not only offers holiday packages on the airline's network but also beyond.

Air Malta said it was working together with United Travel to ensure a seamless transition and have undertaken that all existing passenger and trade bookings will be honoured.

Both parties are committed to work in partnership so as to continue offering and delivering competitive travel experiences and products that are synonymous with the Flyaway Tours brand.

Commenting on this development Peter Davies, Chief Executive of Air Malta, "This sale follows other successful corporate transactions which the airline is spearheading to restructure its operations. Other Air Malta restructuring projects are positively moving forward.
