Malta Tourism Authority and Air Malta treat German travel organisers to exclusive performance by Maltese tenor.

Maltese tenor Joseph Calleja treated German travel industry personnel to an exclusive performance at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich, organised by the Malta Tourism Authority and Air Malta.

The event was held for organisers of meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions, known in the travel industry by the acronym MICE.

On this special occasion, the MTA and Air Malta helped raise awareness about the Maltese Islands as a varied MICE destination, while networking with the German MICE industry.

Eleven guests from the German MICE sector including decision makers, MICE agencies, corporate buyers, conference organisers, associations and institutional planners enjoyed the opera performance by Air Malta’s brand ambassador Joseph Calleja.

Joseph Calleja – Malta’s famous star tenor and Air Malta’s brand ambassador – is a regular and very popular cast member on international and German opera stages. On May 9th, he performed the leading role of the Duke di Mantova in Verdi’s “Rigoletto” at Munich’s renowned “Bayerische Staatsoper” (Bavarian State Opera House).
