Police investigating Floriana gold robbery

Police are searching for the people behind a jewellery shop robbery in Floriana.

The robbery happened at around 5pm in Triq Sant’ Anna, as the thieves are thought to have run off with some €200,000 in gold.

Media reports suggest that the suspects entered the jewellery shop unarmed and with their faces uncovered. 

No one was reportedly injured, as police are searching for the suspects.
