Man suffers serious injuries in Paceville argument

The argument happened at around 1am between two men

A man has been left with neck injuries following an argument in Paceville on Sunday morning

Police on duty in the area were alerted by a member of staff at around 1am after an argument broke out between two men. 

Officers entered the premises, identified the alleged aggressor, 37-year-old man from Pembroke, and arrested him. 

A small sharp-pointed cutting instrument was seized from him.

The second man involved, a Syrian national resident in Zabbar, was found to have neck injuries and was taken by ambulance to Mater Dei Hospital.

He was later certified as having sustained serious injuries.

Magistrate Philip Galea Farrugia was informed and has ordered an inquiry.
