Construction truck topples over in Birkirkara as accidents worsen morning traffic

A truck carrying construction material toppled over on Triq in-Naxxar in Birkirkira, among a number of accidents exacerbating morning traffic on Wednesday.

The truck carrying gravel toppled over 5:30am.

Police confirmed that no injuries were reported, as investigations are still ongoing.

Meanwhile, Transport Malta notified the public about a number of other accidents clogging Malta's roads this morning. 

The authority said that another vehicle turned over in Sa Maison and caused a partial road closure.

Meanwhile, in Triq l-Imdina, Żebbuġ, there was another accident involving a coach and a motorcycle.

TM urged commuters to drive safely and try to use alternate routes until the accidents are cleared.
