Man suffers serious injuries after car overturns in Mellieħa

A 23-year-old man was hospitalised after losing control of his Volkswagen Golf, causing it to overturn.

The accident occurred at around 11:30pm on Sunday on Triq Louis Wettinger in Mellieħa. 

Members of the Civil Protection Department and a medical team treated the man upon arriving on the scene. 

The man, a Mosta resident, was then taken to Mater Dei Hospital where he was certified to have suffered serious injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing.
