22 migrants arrested in overnight immigration inspections
Inspections were carried out in Blata l-Bajda, Ħamrun, Marsa, Fgura, and Rabat

The police arrested 22 immigrants found to be living in Malta illegally during searches carried out throughout Saturday night.
The individuals were detained during inspections carried out in Blata l-Bajda, Ħamrun, and Marsa. More searches took place in a number of private residences in Marsa, Ħamrun, Fgura, and Rabat.
All 22 individuals are being held at a detention centre pending their relocation to their country of origin or another country where they are legally permitted to reside.
Police were assisted by officers from the Detention Services Agency.
