Woman suffers grevious injuries in Dingli after paragliding fall

Police say a woman fell and got hurt while paragliding off the cliffs in Dingli

A woman has suffered grievous injuries after she fell while paragliding in Dingli.

In a statement, the police said the woman, 21-years-old from Czech Republic, fell and was injured whilst paragliding

Officers were called to the Irdum tal-Iħfar area, off Triq Panoramika, at around 6:30pm on Friday, after a report that their assistance was needed.

Members of the Civil Protection Department and a medical team were also called to the site, and together they coordinated an operation to lift the woman from the cliff and take her to Mater Dei Hospital for further care.

She was later certified as having suffered grievous injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing.
