Teens, 13 and 16, hospitalised after crashing car into wall

Police say a car carrying two minors crashed into an abandoned building in the early hours of Thursday morning

A 16-year-old and 13-year-old have been hospitalised after crashing car into abandoned building in Attard

Police have confirmed that a Kia Picanto crashed into an abandoned building in Triq il-Kbira, Attard, at around 3.30am on Thursday.

Officers were called to the scene and went there immediately. 

A preliminary investigation found that the car had two minors inside, aged 16 and 13. 

A medical team assisted the pair on site before they were taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance.

The 16-year-old was later certified as having suffered light injuries, while the 13-year-old was certified as having suffered grave injuries. 

Police investigations into the incident are ongoing.
