Police detained 31 people found to be living irregularly in Gozo during routine inspections.

The individuals are being held at a detention centre while awaiting repatriation to their countries of origin in Africa, Asia and other parts of Europe.

In a statement, the police said they would continue conducting targeted inspections across the country to address irregular migration, breaches of labour laws and the exploitation of vulnerable individuals.
