Van collides with motorcycle in Birkirkara

A van and a motorcycle collided in Birkirkara on Saturday morning, leaving the motorcyclist with grievous injuries.

After being informed about the accident at around 11am, police immediately went to the scene at Triq Fleur-de-Lys in Birkirkara.

Investigations revealed that an Isuzu Elf van driven by a 64-year-old man had collided with a Surron Ultra Bee motorcycle ridden by a 28-year-old man from Balzan.

The man was quickly taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance, where he was certified to have suffered grievous injuries.

Police investigations are ongoing.
