Man grievously hurt in Swieqi traffic accident

A 24-year-old man is hospitalised with grievous injuries after losing control of his motorcycle in Swieqi

A 28-year-old man from St Paul’s Bay suffered grievous injuries on Monday.

The traffic accident occurred in Triq Sant Andrija, Swieqi.

According to police, the man lost control of his Suzuki motorcycle and fell while riding at around 11:30am on Monday.

The reason for the loss of control has not yet been established.

He was given assistance on site by a medical team and taken to hospital by ambulance, where he was later certified as having sustained serious injuries.

Police investigations into the accident are ongoing.
