Hotel residents were evacuated as a precaution after a fire broke out in the hotel’s laundry room, located on Level -1.
Firefighters and members of the Civil Protection Department were deployed to Bugibba after a structure fire broke out in a hotel’s laundry room.
Due to heavy smoke throughout the building, the hotel was fully evacuated as a precaution, however, no injuries were recorded.
Firefighters from Stations 3 and 11 located and extinguished the blaze. Ventilation procedures were carried out, and the situation was brought under control.
The Civil Protection Department was being assisted by a medical team from the Emergency Department at Mater Dei Hospital, Transport Malta and police officers from the 11th District.
