Boy suffers serious injuries in Ħal Safi e-scooter crash

A 17-year-old boy has suffered serious injuries following an accident in Safi in the early hours of this morning.

According to a police statement, the boy lost control of the e-kick scooter and overturned while riding along Triq iż-Żurrieq.

Police were informed that assistance was needed in Triq iż-Żurrieq, Ħal Safi, at around 3am on Sunday. 

Officers went to the scene immediately, where it emerged that a 17-year-old boy riding an e-kick scooter had lost control and overturned.

He was assisted by a medical team and taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance. 

He was later certified as having suffered serious injuries.

Police investigations into the incident are continuing.
