Man left with grievous injuries after hit-and-run in Marsa

A man has been left with grievous injuries after he was struck by a car in an incident in Marsa.

A 41-year-old man from Bangladesh was hit by a car on Triq Diċembru Tlettax, Marsa, on Sunday at around 10pm.

Paramedics arrived at the scene, and the man was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by ambulance, where he was certified with serious injuries

The driver fled the scene.

Police immediately began investigating and located the vehicle, a BMW, parked in Wied il-Għajn shortly after.

According to police, an alleged driver, a 41-year-old man from Ħaż-Żabbar, was arrested.

Investigations into the circumstances of the incident are ongoing.
