Foreigners arrested in Gozo for drug charges

Three men were arraigned in court accused of drug possession and trafficking. The men were charged before Magistrate Paul Coppini at the Gozo courts.

A 25-year-old man was accused of being in possession of cocaine and ecstasy. He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to one year, conditional discharge.

A 28-year-old man and a 20-year-old man were however remanded in custody after pleading not guilty. The 28-year-old was charged with trafficking and being in possession of ecstasy not for own use while the 20-year-old was charged with trafficking ecstasy and of being in possession of cannabis.
