Three men arrested over drug posession

Three men were arrested last night in connection with Cannabis possession.

The police said that two of the men arrested by the Drugs Squad were Maltese and another was English, and that two of the men are aged 18, while the other is aged 45.

The men were in possession of 700 grammes of Cannabis resin, 250 grammes of Cannabis plant, as well as items which suggested the drugs were being kept to be trafficked.

The three men are assisting the police in their investigations, and two of the men were arraigned and accused of trafficking and aggravated possession of Cannabis earlier today.

Duty magistrate A Bugeja was informed of the discovery and various experts were appointed to assist in the investigation.

Police investigations are still underway.
